Phone Log

Works with Calendar to create a record of Events and Phone Calls.

Use Phone Log to record your day. Phone Log places a pin on a map and creates a new entry in your calendar when you add an Event and when a phone call is either made or received. The pin is set at your location and the calendar entry is at the time of the event or call. Edit the Calendar entry either in Phone Log or in Calendar to create notes for the call or event. You can attach files like photos and scanned notes to the entry in Calendar. You can select the calendar to be used or create a new one. If you use iCloud and sync your calendars the calendar entry will show up within a few seconds and can be edited on your synced device even during a phone call.

Create a separate calendar and use that for all phone call information. Create a new Calendar to record favorite restaurants, travel locations or other favorite spots. Create a new calendar either in the Phone Log application or in Calendar. Phone Log allows easy switching between calendars.

Phone Log works seamlessly with Calendar. A list of calls and events ordered by the time they occurred is available. The call and event entries can be selected and edited in the Phone Log application using the same editor as is used in your Calendar applications. A call entry may be edited or deleted from your Calendar either in the Phone Log application or in your Calendar. If deleted on your Calendar, Phone Log will sync with your Calendar and delete entries in the Phone Log application.

The Application requires access to your calendar and your location for full functionality. If you deny access to Calendar Phone Log will not work. If you deny access to your location Phone Log will work only if it is active and visible on your phone screen. With access to your location Phone Log will run in the background and automatically create calendar entries as calls come in and will always be ready to record an Event.

Warning: Continuous use of GPS and Location data can significantly decrease Battery Life.

Latest reviews of Phone Log app for iPhone and iPad

Good app, but needs a little work.
I’ve been looking for this app for ages for the iPhone. It’s been around forever for every other platform, and I’m glad someone finally did this for iOS. I’m giving this 3 stars because it’s the first version. I’m hoping an update comes soon to catch at least the major issue I have with it. If the bugs get worked out then I’ll definitely return to write a higher rated review. The critical problems for my purpose: - The duration would be nice if it could be set. It shows every call as an hour long. The main reason I want this app is to track for billing. Setting the start and end time in the calendar to match the start and end time of the call would be perfect. Less critical issues for me, but still ould be nice to see fixed: - Calls can’t be logged if the app isn’t running unless you have location services on. If this could log calls and just ignore the GPS even when not active then it would be much better to save on the battery life. - Settings to turn off data I don’t care about would be nice. As in the pictures it displays a rather long string after Incoming Call. I’d be happier with that just left out. - If I turn off Location Data to save battery, just make the calendar event "No Data” rather than a long string telling me to turn on location data. - A phone number or contact details if they are in my contacts would be nice. - The address appears twice in the subject in the calendar.
Lame
Does not keep records on all calls. It has a delay & cost way 2 much for nothing- thought it could record calls even tho its not possible
App has potential
A few things to improve. Each call title should pull in caller ID name, company and phone number. This makes a search of all similar calls flawless in your calendar. Also, need entry in calendar to be the length of the call. If anyone logs 10-20 calls per hour as I will the calendar will be a disaster very quickly. Also, documenting the phones location at the time of the call is not a necessity for me. A simple Phone Log is non existent and would be utilized by so many users.
